Job Detalis

The Technical Business Analyst is responsible for working with the Product Managers and Development team by co-creating user stories and the relevant design artefacts to support the development team in creation of the solution; facilitation of delivery and the ongoing support of the solution. This includes, but is not limited to, creating in-depth application designs, various diagrams, and supporting documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in the payments industry, particularly the card acquiring space and be well versed in a range of Business Analysis skills to realise the desired outcomes to tangible deliveries. Attention to detail with a focus on delivery is expected.

Responsibilities

• Working closely with the Product Manager to create user stories from epics which address stakeholder needs within the acquiring domain space
• Working with the Product Manager and Tech teams to identify and propose possible solutions to stakeholder challenges
• Performing detailed analysis and producing documentation to recommend functional changes to support user stories
• Producing and owning analysis documentation of the functional changes which includes data models, sequence diagrams, process diagrams etc
• Working with the Product Manager and Development team to provide delivery estimates and ensuring delivery outcomes
• Staying current on industry domain knowledge of acquiring as well as becoming an SME on payment products (from a technical point of view)

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in the payments industry, specifically in the domain of card acquiring from a Gateway or Payment Service Provider area.
• Understanding of Payment as a Service platform (PaaS), Acquiring, Payment gateways, various payment methods & payment processing flows would be an advantage.
• Experience with ISO8583 desirable and PCI Compliance
• Communication skills, with experience communicating and liaising with both internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work in a cross-functional environment and lead cross-functional discussions
• Experience in both waterfall and agile software delivery methodologies to ensure optimal delivery of value for clients
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence (and other dev tools)
• Experience in creating design artefacts such as data models, sequence diagrams, process diagrams
• Ability to model the Apex systems and explain the impact of changes
• Skill in creating and refining user stories from epics as well as identifying functional and nonfunctional requirements from the stories
• Management of the requirements and effective communication to the development team
• Supporting and guiding the development team to create COAs
• Ability to conduct options analysis, assess feasibility and operational impact and contribute to the refinement of an epic
• Comfortable with languages such as XML, JSON, JScript, SQL.
• Skilled in compiling data and analyzing said data
